Centretown

In the heart of it all is the unique and vibrant Centretown. Emcompassing a relatively large geographic area, Centretown is comprised of a mixtures of residential, commercial and at the very north end, offices and government buildings. It’s main borders are the Queensway in the south, The Rideau Canal along the eastern edge, Bronson Ave to the west and the Ottawa River/Parliament Hill in the north. You can find virtually any type of housing in Centretown ranging from condo towers to quiet residential areas. The eastern pocket is home to the Golden Triangle, so unique that we have a description for it on it’s own.

The rest of Centretown offers a vibrant lifestyle for young urban professionals, empty nesters, or families. The area is home to great schools, beautiful urban parks and all of the shops and amenities you could ever need. Restaurants and cafes are abundant along the main commercial strip of Bank Street and transit with destinations throughout the city is always close by. A growing network of bike paths is perfect for getting getting around throughout the year and of course, skating along the Rideau Canal in the winter is always a great option too!
