Elmvale Acres and Riverview Park

These two neighbourhoods sit between the Rideau River to the west, St. Laurent to the east, Walkley Road to the south and Industrial Ave to the north. What makes them so special? New Edinburgh/Lindenlea

Located just east of Ottawa’s Lowertown (Byward Market) across the Rideau River, this small and largely affluent community retains plenty of Ottawa’s early history in its real estate. While Lindenlea is at the south end along the main shopping strip, Beechwood Avenue, New Edinburgh is the area north to the Ottawa River. Its uneven eastern border is Rockcliffe Park’s Springfield Road and Maple Lane.

Old Ottawa East

The neighbourhood just east of the canal is called Old Ottawa East. This area is bordered by the Rideau Canal to the north and west, and the Rideau River which wraps around part of this community along its eastern and southern borders.
