We love working with buyers! The process of buying a home, whether it’s your first or your 10th, is always interesting and is usually a lot of fun. We like to meet buyers in person before we start the home-search process in order to review their criteria in detail so that we can ensure we’re doing the best job possible to find them a great match. One of the first things we discuss is what they are looking for in a neighbourhood. Some important considerations are usually things like schools, access to transit, safety, access to amenities, what parks are close by, etc. We always discuss these things, but we try to dig a little deeper to figure out what kind of lifestyle the client is searching for. For instance, if it’s a young family who is very community oriented, there are certain neighbourhoods which would work really well. We can take it one step further and suggest specific streets or even blocks where we know there are other families like them. The buyer could be a very quiet, private person. Again, we can help figure out the best location to suit their needs, where neighbours may not be knocking on the door asking for a cup of sugar! Any Realtor can look at a map or drive around neighbourhoods to get to know them, but we feel it’s essential to work with someone who knows the neighbourhoods inside and out.
