The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention and education programs and has raised over $14 million since 1999 to help women and children across Canada. The Hintonburg Community Association is a volunteer-led group of local citizens eager to make a difference in the community, and we have been proud sponsors since 2009, supporting its wide range of events and activities throughout the year.
The Ten Oaks 8th Annual Bowl-A-Thon was held on Saturday March 31, 2012. Nearly $40,000 was raised to support programming for children and youth. We were proud to sponsor such a great event.
Over 20 specialty food vendors are gathering at the Westboro Masonic Hall at Churchill and Byron Avenue on December 9th, 10:00-4:00 for the Westboro Holiday Food Market. We are proud to be the sole sponsors of this event in support of the Westboro Region Food Bank. Goodies are plentiful!
Boomerang Kids Strollercise program is now 13 years old, and has provided emotional, physical and social support to thousands of parents in Ottawa. A special ceremony of appreciation from the Strollercise participants to Boomerang Kids was held on October 1, 2010. We were proud to sponsor a commemorative bench, made from 100% recycled materials, which was placed on Echo Drive, kiddy-corner from Boomerang Kids on Bank Street and unveiled by Jim Watson.
Homes Between the Bridges was the first annual Old Ottawa South Home Tour, held May 31, 2009, which featured six unique homes in the neighbourhood for ticket holders to visit. The proceeds from the Homes Between the Bridges event went towards the Old Ottawa South Firehall Community Centre redevelopment fund.
The City of Ottawa Archives held a daily exhibit to celebrate Ottawa’s rich history of contribution to Canada’s favourite pastime. Our wonderful city has helped shape and mould the sport of hockey over the last 125 years and we were proud sponsors of the event which provided information to visitors of the City of Ottawa Art Gallery, through artifacts, images and trivia.
